Pongal Catering in Chennai
Sakkarai pongal, vadai, and the full festival lunch — delivered ready to serve.
Pongal Catering, handled end to end
Pongal is the harvest festival, and the menu is fixed by tradition rather than preference — which makes it easy to quote and hard to shortcut. We cook the pongal properly, fry the vadai, and run the full banana-leaf-style lunch behind it for families and offices.
Typical pongal catering orders
- Family Pongal lunches on the banana leaf
- Office Pongal celebrations and potluck contributions
- Apartment and community Pongal events
- Pongal distributions for staff and helpers
- ✓Traditional recipes — no shortcuts on the pongal
- ✓Banana-leaf-style service available on request
- ✓Pure-veg-only production for Pongal
- ✓Delivered hot, in trays that keep the pongal from drying out

Pongal Catering — questions we get asked
Everything below is answered from how we actually run these events.
Yes. Banana-leaf service is available as an option and we handle the leaf layout alongside the meal. Mention it in the notes when you send the enquiry and it will be in the quote.
Yes — the entire Pongal menu is pure vegetarian, which matches how the festival is traditionally observed. Nothing on this menu contains meat or egg.
Yes. We run Pongal celebrations for offices and tech parks, either as individual boxes for a team or as a buffet line in a cafeteria or hall. One order, one invoice, and the whole team eats the same traditional menu.
A week ahead is comfortable for a family lunch; larger office or community events should book earlier as the festival week fills up. We can sometimes take shorter notice for the pongal and vadai alone without the full lunch.
